ELK GROVE, CALIFORNIA'S STACI MILES IS FIRST FEMALE SELECTED AS NAPA AUTO PARTS HONORARY CREW MEMBER

<P> SONOMA, Calif. (July 27, 2008) – Staci Miles, of Elk Grove, Calif., became the 15th NAPA AUTO PARTS Honorary Crew Member of the 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series season today at the 21st Annual NHRA Nationals in Sonoma.
Ms. Miles' father, Dale, was originally selected by the NAPA AUTO PARTS area distribution center as the recipient of this honor for this event, but he chose to pass on the privilege to his daughter, making her the first female to be named the NAPA Honorary Crew Member this season.
The Miles family owns three NAPA Auto Car Care Centers in the Sacramento, Calif., area, and NAPA AUTO PARTS has been their primary parts supplier for more than 30 years. Ms. Miles, who works as a store manager in one of the three facilities, was thrilled when she was selected. "This has been surreal; I'm shocked," she said. "I didn't find out about this until about two days ago and I was so excited I couldn't sleep last night. I'm a little out of my element but I'm just really excited to have the honor and the privilege to be here today. It was awesome and it's been a lot of fun."
Part of her crew-member duties included escorting the NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car to the staging lanes in the team's Dodge Durango tow vehicle for the first round of eliminations on Sunday and also helping retrieve the car at the end of the track following driver Ron Capps' run. Ms. Miles met the entire NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car crew and received a NAPA team jersey. She also had an up-close-and-personal view of the NAPA crew as they worked on the car and enjoyed a private tour of the team transporter and pit area.
NAPA AUTO PARTS distribution centers at each NHRA event during the season have different criteria for choosing the persons who are potential NAPA AUTO PARTS Honorary Crew Members.
