Edmonton still friendly for McMillen

ELKHART, Ind. (July 2, 2007) - It's a 38-hour jaunt from the Hoosier Thunder Motorsports race shop to the Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta. For McMillen and his Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car powered by Torco Race Fuels, every one of the long miles to Edmonton are welcomed.

"Rob and Kim Reeves (Castrol Raceway track owners) do such a great job making this race one of the friendliest on the Knoll-Gas Nitro Jam Drag Racing circuit," said McMillen. "Our team always looks forward to the CARS RV & Marine & Motorsports Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Torco."

Edmonton's friendly spirit goes beyond the hospitality of the Reeve's family for McMillen. During the past two seasons McMillen's hotrod has made it to the semi-final and final round. "There's certainly something special about Edmonton for us," McMillen added. "Plus it has the best lighting of any track that we'll race all season, guaranteed," McMillen joked regarding the long summer days of northwest Canada where the sun doesn't set until past midnight. "These fans truly love drag racing. They'll hang out all night with us."

For the third consecutive season Northern Provincial Pipelines will sponsor the InstiGator. "Dwight Kennedy is a huge MOPAR guy," said McMillen. "He's always said as long as this InstiGator stayed a hemi powered Dodge, he wanted to be involved with it. We're honored to represent Northern Provincial Pipelines for this race."

Adding to the excitement for McMillen and his team are the many guest expected to be in attendance, including Amalie's Don Bornstein and Torco's Latrell Preston. "It really shows how important this race is to our team and our partners," said McMillen.

McMillen will also make a special stop for a factory tour at Jet Tape and Label. Jet Tape and Label is an associate sponsor on the Foley/Lewis team cars of Doug Foley, driver of the Torco Accelerator Top Fuel Dragster and the McMillen piloted Torco Nitro Top Fuel Dragster. "Darrel and the folks at Jet Tape and Label have some great hospitality events planned for our Top Fuel and Alcohol teams," McMillen said.

"This is a great opportunity to take Torco Race Fuels, Amalie Oil and all of our marketing partners north of the border," said McMillen.

The InstiGator team partners with high quality and high performance companies like; Amalie Oil, Torco Race Fuels, eRaceFuels, Flatout Gaskets, NGK Spark Plugs, MSD, GO Graphix, eMax, Crane Cams, Freedom Grill, PSI Superchargers and No Limit Custom Coach.
