Eddie Krawiec 6.77@200?

Quote from Eddie in the CompPlus story:
"Andrew went (6.)75 at 199.82. It shows you the potential's there. You have to have really good conditions. Right now we're at a corrected altitude of negative [something]. It's not often you have a barometer that's 30.0-something and your corrected altitude is in the negative area. When you have those two things together, also low humidity and just a little water grains, it's crazy air that you never, ever really get a chance to run in," Krawiec said.

except if you run at Englishtown in November (like the Shakedown at E-town a few years ago, the Saturday was "too good" of conditions and nobody was able to make it work.)

George Bryce is on a roll this week on Facebook:

VHR and HD just ran 6.7s with both bikes today at OVER 200.00 MPH!!!!
Good job BOYS!!!!! Lets see how fast the rest of us could go..if NHRA and VHR would let anyone have a VROD or a 160 cubic inch double overhead cam engine with 4 valves per cylinder....Try it with pushrods and 2 valves per cylinder...like the rest of us have to run.....Try it after you sell over 60 engines to all other racers and let them work on them..see how fast your customers can go..
This is like Greg Anderson is the only team that can run a Camaro...yeah right....

NEW NHRA RULE!!!! GREG ANDERSON and KB Racing is the only team that can run overhead cams and 4 valves per cylinder in Pro Stock..500 inches...all other teams MUST run 2 valves and long push rods...see if that would fly...yeah right!!!!!!
AND...KB does not have to sell these to anyone..BUT ALL other teams must use ONLY available parts

We have a new goal....to be the quickest 2 valve engine team at the Gators...
The new number 1 is 3rd!!!!!!!! LE Tonglet is number 1 qualifier in the 2 valve Pro Stock Class!!! We have to go quicker than LE to be in the number 3 spot....the only team that can run 4 valve engines is VHR/HD..they are in a different zip code :)

VHR and the Vrods are the ONLY two bikes in all of NHRA allowed to run 4 valve heads and DBL overhead cam VTWINS period..ALL other bikes...ALL other entries MUST run 2 valve heads..TRUE!!!!! SO..this is why all of us are racing for 3rd now...or 1st in class...2 valve class . We built a new improved cam chest to help out the Buell 2 valve engines...NHRA said NO! ..We built a new 4 valve Suzuki head NHRA said NO!!! Really?

A good read: Motorcycle Street & Strip MagazineParity and NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle - Motorcycle Street & Strip

seems obvious harley davidson wants a dominating presence on TV within a major american motorsports series - don't see in nascar or other.....they may
rule ama, but where is that on TV regularily scheduled?....it is not.
lucky us.:o.....who buys harleys watching andrew hines?; which is why sometimes i think eddie k. is allowed to lately be on the stronger bike - his
physical appearance and demeanor are much more inline with a harley
davidson owner/buyer than andrew hines.....JMHO - hey, this is big money
for HD, object of exercise to sell motorcyles....period - whatever it takes.

They nailed it early in the run, 1.06 in 60ft.

What they nailed it with was with unbelievable power, witnessed by his 660' speed which was on a par with a good-running Pro Stock car. Running 198+ into a strong headwind indicates he'd most likely been well over 200 in calm conditions.

What are the odds they will have to find a place for extra weight on their bikes for the next race? I know it is only the first race, but it appears the Harley boys have done their homework over the winter and improved their performance.

Ok so I am gonna post and I expect to be eaten alive for this second attempt of mine. My one question to all you guys that think NHRA PSM has become an almost socialist government, Why is any bike out there other than VRODS matching or even bettering their incremental times? This is not unfair rules. This is talent and money dominating. V&H are in a whole nother country when it comes to both money and talent. I am sick if reading this crap.

Other teams are cutting 1.03's, that would destory a 6.75 if it followed through. These other programs are just lacking the talent and the ingredients to make other parts of the program excel. I am assuming it's hard to have a bike that is outright the quickest while winning the 60ft race at the same time. So let me have it, push resume on your little war machine, but I am not buying it and my interview at some point with byron will attack this conspiracy you all are sold on. How many of you buy this becuase of the Jerry Savoie and George Bryce train and how many of you buy this based on your own opinion. It's easy to join a bandwagon, but why dont you guys do some research in comparsion with the class outside of rules and # 1's or wins.

Nah - no problem here; your opinion is as valuable as anyone else's.

Here's kind of the way I look at HD/V&H in PSM racing. What if Ford were in the same position as Harley, and NHRA allowed them to run a 500-inch DOHC, 4-valve Coyote V8, and told all the other teams that they have to run the current 2 valve pushrod design? What if they told all the PS competitors that Larry Morgan is the only person that will be allowed to compete with a Ford product and this new engine?

Vance and Hines shouldn't be forced to sell their product to others but others should be free to develop them on their own. If V&H can run a 4 valve/DOHC Harley, there's no reason Arana shouldn't be able to develop a 4 valve, DOHC Buell, if he has the resources.

No, this is unfair rules dominating. Did everyone else just become dumb and forget how to make horsepower? You try telling this BS to George Bryce and see what he says.

I missed the trophy presentation in the quailifying show.
I'll be rooting against them tonite (as all 14 events).

Yea the bikes really killed it in round 1. Hines running an 80 Krawiec running an 83 while Arana goes 84, yea that's so out there! Right now it looks like all the other teams who complain about V & H are not even keeping an eye on their own. Bryce has the biggest mouth of all in this and he got a round win with a 7.01 let alone qualifying with a 6.95? He has no right to be *****in yet when his program has not even touched a mid 80 yet.

And you wonder why you cop it on here!! I want to say more but the ignorance of your last comment has pissed me off enough. Instead of focussing on your stat book, perhaps you might want to do some research in Drag Bike racing history before shooting your mouth!!
