Dual fuel pumps

OK, this thread is another thread to help quench my thirst for nitro history.

I want to say the first double pump system was of Armstrong's doing, and
that was two Enderle pumps attached to a pump drive, the manufacturer of
which I cannot remember.

I also recall the introduction of the inline dual pump (instead of side by side),
and those were Waterman pumps. I want to say that Tim Richards had the
first such system.

As for the barrel valves, Mike Kloeber's article again comes in handy. I recall
two barrel valves to begin with, and Mike's article points out that Pete Jackson
came up with a dual input metering valve.

Is this an accurate history?

The dual fuel pumps were run as far back as the early 80's. The first ones I remember were tested by Jim Brissette. Later, I recall, Duane Lidtke had Tom McEwen's car running real good with them which prompted many prominent crew chiefs to adopt that system.
