Drag Racing Champion and owner of the Australia’s largest motorsport team, Brett ‘The Boss’ Stevens, will be making some special guest appearances on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast this weekend.
With a busy couple of days on the cards, Stevens will be performing at a Burnout Show in Brisbane on Friday night before bringing his Jack Daniel’s Racing team up to Mooloolaba for a display all day at Phat Wheels on Saturday (6th October) and then at the Wharf Tavern on Sunday (7th October) where he is judging the QLD State Final of the ‘Search for the Face of Jack Daniel’s Racing’.
On display at both venues will be a 3000 horsepower Top Doorslammer race car, a Nitro Harley Top Bike and the Jack Daniel’s Racing Burnout Ute.
Taking a break from the rigors of the Australian National Drag Racing Championship, Stevens is looking forward to the hospitality the coast has to offer and showing the locals his team up close and personal.
“Mooloolaba isn’t usually a place where you would see a professional Drag Racing team, especially right in the middle of town,” Stevens said.
“It will definitely be something different for the crowds, we will have a Top Doorslammer, Top Bike, Burnout Ute as well as a team transporter and show cars at both Phat Wheels and the Wharf Tavern, so if you’ve never seen a professional motorsport team it will be a good chance to check us out.”
“Without the normal pressures of racing I’m really looking forward to meeting some of the fans and enjoying what is going to be a great weekend, finishing off with the Final of the Search for the Face of Jack Daniel’s Racing competition.”
Stevens is one of Australia ’s leading Drag Racers and is the only person in the world to compete in three professional Group 1 Drag Racing brackets simultaneously (Top Doorslammer, Top Bike and Top Alcohol).
Some of his recent Drag Racing accomplishments include winning the 2004 Australian Top Doorslammer and the 2005 Australian Top Bike Championships, member of the Australian Motorcycle Hall of Fame, holder of the quickest Australian Harley record with quarter mile run of 6.4 seconds, as well as various other records and titles.
