sorry to get slightly off topic, but are FC's now viewed as 'just as safe
or safer than TF's? Back when the snake and kenny made their
moves, didn't they have the opinion 'glad to get that motor behind me'?
now kenny, some 10+ years later is hopping back in one.
I wonder, at the speeds they are going now, if TF's breaking frame rails and
blown tires taking out wings have now superseded
the engine explosion/burning bodies of FC's as most dangerous pro class?????

When something goes wrong in a dragster they become kind of like out of control flying missiles , when something goes wrong in a funny car they become shake n bakes . Im guessing it would be like being in an oven . I guess they are as dangerous as eachother .

That would be my thought too. They each have some unique dangers and can each kill and maim in their own right. I do think Funny Car safety has improved a lot though.
