A question for the TF experts out there: what is the advantage of cast iron over billet steel for fuel pumps? I know Rage Fuel Systems makes cast iron pumps. Do they have an advantage over Waterman's billet steel pumps?

The difference is the expansion rate of the housing verse the gears to maintain clearances...
I run both manufactures on cars, and find that the brands have different curves...
They use different sized ODs and thickness gears ...
So you have to tailor the tune-up to the pump that your using...

I use both, a flow bench to check new pumps and flow the nozzle, BV, & check valve system, then watch the flow meters during the season on the cars that have them...
