A question for the TF experts out there: what is the advantage of cast iron over billet steel for fuel pumps? I know Rage Fuel Systems makes cast iron pumps. Do they have an advantage over Waterman's billet steel pumps?

From what I have been told the Rage pump is far superior to anything on the market:D

.....what is the advantage of cast iron over billet steel........
The difference is the expansion rate of the housing verse the gears to maintain clearances...
I run both manufactures on cars, and find that the brands have different curves...
They use different sized ODs and thickness gears ...
So you have to tailor the tune-up to the pump that your using...

Do you flow the pumps at the shop, or do you go off of flow data that the data collection unit gathers?
