The finish line cam was positioned at the 1/4 mile mark. Salinas shut off after the 1,000' mark. Clay stayed on the throttle to the 1320. If you go back and watch the rest of the weekend, the cars shut off before they get to the 1/4 mile camera position.

Its so hard to tell but you might be right.

i thought the same. had to look. had to do the math........the one that was actually questionable was wilk/hagan. the shot on tv show looked like
dead heet. hagan's mov was .0038. drc said that mov was 22". seemed less than that.
happy for crew chiefs on black tf car. seemed like one guy was shuffled, but ends up with first win of season and early points lead.

Was pulling for both of them, along with Mike Klober and Rob Flynn. I never would have bet 3.75 would win that one after both running .69 the run before. TDR.

Incredible to think that Mike lost Alan Johnson and yet he gets a win before Doug. Bet that feels really good. Great to see Rob Flynn have immediate success too.

Salinas is running an AJ tune up and flynn is tweaking it!

It's that simple huh? Why bother even hiring Flynn then? After all, the crew is all the same and surely they all knew the tune up and could "tweak" it just fine on their own? Geez......
Im just going by what fs1 said, lol

Mike, most people don't have a clue as to how hard this s**t is, no matter how much money you have and who you hire. Like they say, that's why we race 'em!

With all due respect Mike, he was not out of tune with what he said. That's exactly what Flynn is doing, and no one said that it was simple.

“Okay, we have Rob Flynn. Rob Flynn came in, we picked him to take over where Alan (Johnson) left off,” Salinas said. “Alan did work with him before we made the decision to switch over. Alan and Brian (Husen) worked with Rob at the races and basically showed him their style of tuning, to follow the book that we have. So basically, the car should not skip a beat.”
