Denver Pro Stock Testing

Not that i'm aware of Alan. Like Dan said, the Jr. Dragster kids have it going on this week.

I'll tell you this though. I'm willing to bet half the field will be in the six-second zone before qualifying is over. That starting line with the cooling tubes is starting to REALLY come in after a year of running it.

Thanks guys, I forgot about the jr. Nats. I guess they won't be testing at all this year.

Half the field? I may just take that bet!

Alan

If I remember correctly there were 4-5 cars there last week testing, but I never heard any results. Also, If they were testing today that would be a 20 hour plus drive to Seattle, then they would not get parked until Friday morning.

I knew juggling "the swing" schedule would screw those guys up. Must be alot easier to test the week before (like they used to) & leave the combos the same going into the next week; as opposed to doing your altitude testing, changing it all back to normal for 2 races, then change it all back to altitude settings again.... Friday Pro Stock Q1 at Bandimere should be ....... interesting.

Friday Q-2 will be better... ;-)

Hopefully a brief Thundershower before Q-1...have it clear up for night time and I'll betcha you'll see 8 sub-seven second runs.

With V running .02 in heat...i'm believing 6.99's a plenty are possible.

Reinhart is gonna owe me hooters wings... ;-)

As anyone who knows me will attest, I am NOT afraid of buying Hooters wings. Not even a little,

Alan

I know it is a bit off subject but I ate at a restaurant in Houston today called Beavers. All the wait staff wore t-shirts that said

Beavers, located just south of Hooters...............;)

OK, since we are talking about the Colorado race..... even BETTER than Hooters ~ there's a joint called "Bench Warmers" here in town. Restaraunt, Bar & Grill. I believe they have a couple locations; there's a new one by Centennial Airport. Let me tell you - it is FANTASTIC. The hell with the food; there's more buts than a political debate and more cans then at a recycling plant. GO THERE.

Doesn't matter if they test, everyone knows that the Mopar Nationals is Allen Johnson's race..........;)

yeah, but HOOTERS has... a better view... ;) I've been to Bench Warmers and the wings are VERY good... but... it's not HOOTERS

That starting line with the cooling tubes is starting to REALLY come in after a year of running it.

At the D5 race in June and at the race last week the difference in temp where the cooling lines are and back close to the water box, where the cooling doesn't exist, there is 12* difference. Still at the starting line it was 122*. On the July 3 the DA was 9900+ ft. by mid afternoon.

A couple years ago when the corrected altitude was above 10k, WJ said he just saw a couple birds walking because the air was too thin for them to fly
