Den' Does It Again For The Doorslammers!

Tuesday, 28 August 2007 - (Sydney, NSW) Colourful Top Doorslammer star Deno Brijeski is passionate about his Drag Racing to say the least. After consultation with fellow Doorslammer compatriots Robin Judd, Maurice Fabietti and further discussions with Tony Beuk at Western Sydney International Dragway, we are delighted to announce that Den's Cranes will be sponsoring a Den's Doorslammer Challenge at this Friday and Saturday's ACDelco East Coast Nationals event, which will see cars qualified 9-16 in the 20-car field run for extra prizemoney (in excess of $5,000) in a separate 'B' series of eliminations on race day Saturday!

"Call me a fool for the love of Top Doorslammer I guess, when the guys spoke to me about supporting a B finals series, I knew it was too good to pass up. Top Doorslammer will be awesome again this year and I am more than happy to sponsor Australian Drag Racing's most brutal racing bracket, I just hope I am not contesting for my own prizemoney because it means I am not racing for the ANDRA Gold Tree," winked Brijeski.

Deno returns to burn this season in Doorslammer after sporadic appearances last season and brings a new Purple paint scheme to the table in a Camaro combination similar to what produced an awesome 6.05-second Quarter Mile blast at the 2005 ACDelco East Coast Nationals.

"We have regrouped a lot in the off-season and I am rapt to have Mark Brew back in our team to provide the vital tune-up and engine advice we need. I really hope we can get back to those powerful runs we had the season before last and I am confident of achieving just that."

Of course Nathan and crew at the Eastern Creek Tavern better batter down the hatches as Deno and the boys will be raiding all and sundry once again on a regular basis if Deno can deliver a punishing series of efforts in Top Doorslammer this season.

The cut and thrust of twenty 320kmh Supercharged cars jamming into an 8-car eliminations field will remain as difficult as ever, however there is no doubt the opportunity for another 8 cars to duke it out on race day Saturday will be a vital lever as the professional Top Doorslammer field can showcase their sponsors and collective efforts over the entire event.

Amazingly, there will still be cars who will not qualify in the top 16 and it will be noted with some interest by all and sundry as to the overall spread of Elapsed Times and BOTH the 8 and 16-car bump spots!

Surely the thought of 16 Top Doorslammers racing down the quarter mile come Saturday must whet the appetite even further of any Drag Racing fan!
