DeJoria Brings In New Demographic

Cool story!

Alexis and her family being involved in the sport definitely has many benefits. I'm very glad they're around!

We can always count on Joe to seek out and then discuss something neither mentioned or even implied in an article. That's why we love him!

That's great to hear when any pro race driver has an impact like that and brings people to the sport. I'll admit - I had a huge crush on Alexis' mom in the 80's.... although for the life of me I never understood why she poured gasoline all over Paul Stanley's Porsche and torched it.......

As huge as a fan of Alexis and her father whom I have met, I honestly don't see how bringing one new fan to the track warrants an article about a "New" Demographic! I have brought 6-7 first timers to the track, most liked it, couple had no use for it! Nothing new...

Perhaps Bobby should do an article on you-how good can you fill out a T-shirt? ;)
Question for Bobby-how did you run across this for your story? Just trying to determine if this was something that was thrown out by Patron-if it was, its a good marketing ploy.
This woman sounds in a way like how my wife looks at racing. I determined a while ago -I (and most on this board ) are RACING fans-the whole sport-the ins+ outs-crewchief swaps-whos got new pipe-etc. The wife is a RACER fan. She watches to see how her favorites do. The rest is secondary. "Is there drag racing this weekend? Is Hillary Will running?"
But thats the thing-the ticket price is the same-1st time or 100th.

Did you even read the article! Have you ever brought First timers to the track? Good...maybe BB can do an article on you?

what have you driven besides a Prius???

Now, it may have been a while ago, but ask Rapid Randy if I can own and/or drive. I was driving before he got into the sport. Better yet, ask TJsr or TJjr if you don't take Baker's word for it.

Little quicker than a Prius.

Gotta admit I'm stunned! That you of all people lecture us on the environment, Green everything, and you used to drive a Gas powered Race car! That's like imagining Bill Maher in the Indy 500!

John Paul is a long time gearhead. About 10 years ago, we were doing the Friday night car show deal at Bob's in Toluca Lake. Anyone who has ever been there knows everybody shows up from time to time.

My wife points out this guy and says "that's the guy from Paul Mitchell hair products". I had no idea what she was talking about. He did appear to be alone and just wandering around and checking out the cars.

That was purely I story I happened across in town. I thought it was neat, someone who has never been to any motorsports event, a person who just started following a driver and got the chance to meet them and I wrote a story on it.

No marketing ploy -- just a story. If you like it, then you like it.

If you make off color comments -- whatever. I would expect that on certain message boards but not this one.

Just thought it was a good story about a good person experiencing drag racing for the first time.
