<P> (7-30-08) Elma, NY- With only four races remaining in the 2008 IHRA Nitro Jam season Mel Bush Motorsports Pro Modified Driver, Tommy D'Aprile is within striking distance of points leader, Kenny Lang. Lang holds a 90 point lead over D'Aprile.

"Kenny's (Lang) out there a bit but I think we have as good a shot at it as any. This team that Mel and Johanne have put together is definitely up to the challenge," said D'Aprile.

Team Owner, Mel Bush, is optimistic about his team's chances. "If you were able to come to a race and just watch our team, you would know why I feel so good about our chances this season," stated Bush. My guys along with Mike Janis and the Jan-Cen guys are something to see especially when the chips are down and the cards are stacked against them. I'd prefer for them not to have to work so hard but knowing what they can do is a great feeling."

Team driver, Tommy D'Aprile echoed Mel Bush's sentiments about the crew from Jan-Cen. "The guys from Jan-Cen have proven them selves with this car. We've bested just about everyone's expectations of what this so called "boat anchor" can do and I feel there's more left," said D'Aprile.

The confidence of the owner combined with the performance of their engine program and the skill of their driver make this Pro Modified team one to watch down the stretch. Look for D'Aprile to start his charge here at Martin.
