Danny Townsend

Please keep Danny Townsend, 7 time Division 3 champion and current driver of the VIP Sports TAFC, in your thoughts and prayers. Danny was in a bad accident last night during the finals of the Division 3 Columbus event. Right now he is in the hospital and doing well. Even though the car was totaled, Danny came away with no broken bones. He is still having some short term memory loss from the concussion he suffered. They will be keeping him for observation for a little while. He is truely one of the nicest and most talented drivers out there.

Will do. His altered he used to drive is still one of my all time favorite racecars. In fact the word Townsend has become a verb in our house. Anytime somebody catches somebody they townsend them.

We bought his Canode chassis car from the early 90s and still run it today. The quality of that car prompted us to have Hal Canode build us another custom fit F/C. Thanks Danny and we'll see you at the track.

Danny will not drive in 2007 but remain with the Parkers as a consultant following the advice of his doctor. Plans to return to the seat in 2008.
