Rockingham, NC (October 18, 2006) – The IHRA eMax Drag Racing Series is heading into the final race of the 2006 season with the Universal Technical Institute World Finals in Rockingham, North Carolina. In the last attempt of the 2006 season to earn points, the top drivers in the Torco Race Fuel Pro Modified class will all be striving go achieve round wins.
Highly successful Pro Mod driver Danny Rowe is among the best in the class. Heading into the World Finals, Rowe is in a unique position to grasp his first IHRA championship. Despite having a championship on the line, Rowe is keeping his focus on his own job and performance.
“I feel that we must continue to focus on winning a race,” said Rowe. “I do not want to add any more pressure than what there would be for any other race. I know we have one the best cars running in the IHRA Torco Race Fuel Pro Mod series. We just have to continue to do what we are doing, which is going rounds and staying consistent.”
Rowe has a history of being one of the most consistent drivers in the series. With his Jimmy Rector tuned car, Rowe who is a new team owner knows he must maintain his own level of competition. Despite where the cards fall with the points and other drivers, Rowe is first and foremost striving to gain round wins and race his way to the top.
Rowe added, “Jimmy Rector, our crew chief, is one off the most intense people at the race track. We know you cannot sit back and wait for it to be your turn; you have to work hard toward your goals. The whole crew greatly deserves a big win, and what not a better win then the IHRA World Finals.”
Rowe and team know the way to the Championship is by qualifying well and going rounds. Regardless, what happens in Rockingham, the team will know they ran their best. Ultimately, Rowe knows the success of his team is a combined effort of the three D’s - dedication, determination, and desire. The key to success now lies in the hands of Rowe’s team and his own capabilities.
Danny Rowe and team would like to thank Gainsborough Capital, NGK Sparkplugs, Hoosier Tires, Redline Oil, and Weld Racing for their continued support.
