DANNY ROWE LOOKING FORWARD TO A NEW EXPERIENCE

(4-27-2007) LAGUNA HILLS, CA – With the third event of the 2007 AMS Pro Mod Challenge on the horizon, Danny Rowe is pumped; a little more than normal. The Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals held at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia is one of the NHRA’s longest running events and has a reputation as one of the toughest races on the tour. An added curve ball is being thrown at Danny Rowe and team as this is the first time he has competed at this facility.

“We’re flying blind into this one,” explained Rowe. “I’ve never raced on this track, but I’m very excited for the opportunity. The NHRA does a great job with track prep and I know that Jimmy [Rector] has a tune up for just about anything we may run into. I’m always open to trying some new things and this is a prime opportunity.”

Nestled deep in the heart of the South, Atlanta Dragway is well-known for morphing into “Hotlanta” under the intense summer sun. Regardless of the weather conditions, the Rowe and Rector Connection is amped up about the 3rd round of the AMS Pro Mod Challenge.

“We’re ready to go,” said an amply enthusiastic Rowe. “We all love to go out and drag race; it’s what we do. We’re looking forward to a positive weekend and making a move towards the top in the AMS Points Championship. We’ve spent a lot of time testing and refining our program. Like I said from the very beginning of the season; it takes a total package to win in today’s Pro Modified class.”

Thus far during the 2007 race season, Rowe has experienced his fair share of success; going rounds at almost every event attended. However, that elusive final round win and AMS Eagle is yet to show itself. In a class as competitive as Pro Modified, most teams find themselves forced to feel satisfied with running in the middle of the pack. That’s not the case with Danny Rowe Racing.

The 2007 Unfinished Business Tour continues this weekend in Atlanta with the Gainsborough Capital 1963 Chevy Corvette piloted by Danny Rowe poised to take action. Champions don’t settle for second best; they find a way to make it happen. You can count on Danny Rowe and veteran crew-chief Jimmy Rector to continue honing their skills and perfecting their program to find a way.

Qualifying in the third of ten events in the AMS Pro Mod Challenge is scheduled for 3:15 and 6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 27 and at 11:15 a.m. Saturday morning. Eliminations are scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. Saturday and conclude on Sunday, April 29.
