True, the purses seem like they've changed very little, if at all, for about the last 8-10 years. When you do the math, winning say $40,000 for winning TF or FC at a National event, and it costs on average $5,000 (I've heard that figure but can't vouch for it's accuracy) to make one run, one need not be a rocket scientist to understand that the amount of the purses is rather comical. Heck, the guy finishing in 43rd place in a Cup race can win double that.

Yep, this really bites for Jeff. I hope he can get another deal put together.

Hmm - let's brainstorm this one. KOHO would be a fine choice and would fit it with MetalWood's sponsorship in IHRA. How about Bauer, Sherwood, or CCM?

Thinking "outside the box" (or maybe outside the smelly hockey bag), here are some other fine Canadian companies that might be willing/able to fund the "Car Formerly Known As The Blue Team":

• Tim Horton's (current sponsor for Paton's part-time TF)
• Canadian Tire (hope they don't pay w/CT Money!)
• Rush - look at Nancy Matter w/the Who, Wiber's a huge fan

Like you said that is a business decision. But, it sucks. I really miss having Phil B. out there. And hope Jeff can get something together too.
What about the team? Denner and Cunningham? Good luck to all involved. Really hope they can find something to keep the team together.

Cunningham spent many years w/ Gwynn's TF team, so he knows how to make both run well.
