Not being a NASCAR fan [ I get dizzy watching it ] but willing to say its a car thing and thats a good thing I ran across this while listening to The Beach Boys and surfing the net.
Actually I bought a leather jacket at the Dallas Autorama and noticed the billing on my bank acct Lone star Muscle Cars and was curious.

I always associate classic muscle cars with Drag Racing [ I wonder why ].
Those Maters in the north Texas Area in Oct. this aught to be a blast.
Hot Rods and Customs and Stevie Ray Vaughn music and Blues!
If they had some cackling from Nostalgia Fuel cars and a premier Drag Strip out there instead of a super track ?
Well Bruton Smith owns it and now he's stealing our straight line heritage to promote it.
Being a car guy I say its all good and it sure won't hurt our sport by sticking Hemi Cuda's and 32 Ford coupes at a circle track !

I believe that is a post from last year. But... every year in October the Good Guys hold a rod and custom car show at TMS.

On the other hand... I wouldn't object if Bruton Smith would build the taj mahal of drag strips at TMS.

I don't understand the foul call. Bruton Smith utilizing this huge space to have a hot rod event. Kansas Speedway is used for the same type event in Sept., besides hot rods are performance cars and Nascar is about performance and almost all the cup drivers own a performance car of some sort for their own pleasure. I sure Bruton intention is not to steal anything from sport of Drag Racing, hell he is investing millions of dollars in Drag Racing and who knows he may be running it in near future.

I have always linked Muscle cars , custom hot rods and street rods with straight line racing as our cars are supposed to stay pristine like the show cars and would be more at home on a drag strip.
Any motorsports is good but you seldom see Nascar cars at Custom Car Shows.
Bruton is more than welcome to push Hot Rods any time he wants at any of his tracs.
I thought last year was the blowout at Sundance Square !
I'm always out of town anyway.
