NHRA Virginia Nationals - Dinwiddie, VA
Pre-Race Report
Cruz Pedregon and team are headed to Virginia Motorsports Park and ready for another win at the Virginia Nationals. "We really feel like we've gotten any bad mojo out of our system and it will be fun to be back on the track again, especially since this race has been a winner for us before," says Cruz. "We were glad to return to Richmond last year since there'd been a 10 year hiatus, and the second year back should be a good one for us. We're ready to put on a good show for everyone in the stands, and fans streaming the race online or watching on FOX Sports."
Crew Chief Glen Huszar and Assistant Crew Chief Nick Casertano are working with the team to prep the car for one of the smoothest tracks on the circuit. They're also keeping an eye on the weather conditions that are predicted to be a little cooler with the possibility of rain. For this race, the Snap-on Dodge® will return to the El Demonio body and traditional paint scheme.
"Virginia is for lovers, as they say, and we love getting to race again here after the track resumed drag racing last year,” says Cruz. “There will be a lot of new race fans attending this weekend, and I’m looking forward to meeting them, as well as spending time with area Snap-on Franchisees and their customers, in our pit.”
In the past several weeks, team members have not only been busy working on the car, but also making updates to the shop and producing a video featuring a paintball team-building event earlier this season. The video will be shared on Cruz’ social media channels soon.
