A trip to the finals and a close finish in a Countdown race moved Cruz Pedregon up two spots in the playoffs and set up the team for a strong showing this weekend at the NHRA Midwest Nationals.
"The team is doing a great job — top to bottom. We're seeing solid, consistent runs from the tuning we're doing on the Snap-on® Dodge® and we are really in the mix for the championship," says Cruz. "JC (John Collins) is excited about running at Gateway again since he won it last year with his previous team."
Cruz says the rounds are "really tough" with everyone "armed up" this time of year. With just five races to go, he says there's lots of opportunity and he and the team are looking forward to going for a win in St. Louis.
Cruz's car will be decked out in the Snap-on Tools Socket to Breast Cancer paint scheme for the next four races to support breast cancer awareness raising funds for The Pink Fund® in the U.S. and Kelly Shires Foundation in Canada. Both organizations help breast cancer patients in their time of need, including providing valuable information for Cruz’s sister Dora who is a cancer survivor. For more information on these organizations, check out ThePinkFund.org and KellyShiresFoundation.org.
