Dodge® Mile-High Nationals - Denver
Pre-Race Report
The Snap-on Dodge® is prepped and ready for the Mile High Nationals in Denver this week. Cruz Pedregon and team are looking forward to returning to the track where they've had so many memorable, record-setting runs. "We always get pumped heading to Denver. We're ready to get down to business and secure a spot in the Countdown," says Cruz. "The car is running great, and another round one win was just what we needed to push even harder. So watch for the Snap-on Funny Car to make its mark this weekend for all the great NHRA fans and our sponsors."
“We've gotten that scuffing issue we've seen recently to a minimum and had one of the most consistent cars over the three qualifying sessions in Epping, so we're getting the car right where we want it to be,” says Crew Chief Glenn Huszar. “It's a science with the temps and altitude in the Rockies, but we're ready for it."
Denver is one of Cruz's favorite tracks, and he's ready to put last year's blower kaboom at Bandimere in the rear view mirror. "That was one for the books, but we're only looking ahead to start the Western Swing at the track where we've set numerous ET records and had multiple wins," says the two-time Funny Car World Champion Pedregon.

Check out Cruz's car this week and you'll see the name of area Snap-on Nitro Franchisee Glen Westmorland. Glen was a technician and service advisor for high-end cars before taking on his Snap-on franchise last October. He says he's always had an entrepreneurial spirit even as far back as selling candy to his fellow school bus riders. Westmorland is following in the footsteps of his Mom who had six of her own businesses and says he's had a dream of owning his own business, too…especially one that sells a product that's so well made. When it comes to racing, he's no novice; he's had a part-time job working for a road racing team. You'll see him in Cruz's pit this weekend with all four of his children and wife Joey.
