NHRA Four-Wide Nationals - Charlotte
Pre-Race Report

After the team's strongest qualifying event of the season, Cruz Pedregon and crew are headed to Charlotte enthusiastic about what they're seeing from the Snap-on Toyota Funny Car. “The car and new chassis are really responding well to the work we've done,” said Pedregon. “We're thrilled with the more consistent 3.9 runs, getting faster with each pass, and we're looking forward to making it the fifth race this season we qualify in the top half of the field."
Crew Chief Aaron Brooks says, "We really like the way the new chassis hooks up, and Cruz was able to run quick ETs and shut it off early every run. So, after taking care of the reverser blanket issue that came up in Houston, we're excited to see what the Snap-on Toyota can do in Charlotte."
Cruz and the entire team are looking forward to running four-wide again after having done so earlier in the season in Las Vegas. He says it's always a big event for the drivers and fun for NHRA fans.
On the side of Cruz's car this week –
If you'll check the side of Cruz's car this week, you'll see the name of local Snap-on Nitro Franchisee Mike Wagers. Mike's had his Snap-on franchise for six years now after working as an aircraft mechanic overseas. He has a degree in aeronautical technology from Purdue University and gets to enjoy the thrill of flight when he calls on the L3 Team that services the Osprey aircraft at New River Air Station in Jacksonville, North Carolina. When he's not working, Mike and his family are thrill-seekers and love to go scuba diving and skydiving. If that's not enough, his wife is a real-life CSI detective. The whole family will be NHRA-thrill-seeking with us at the track this weekend.
