NHRA® Team Report
NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals – Bristol
Pre-Race Report
"Hats off to our Crew Chief JC (John Collins) and Assistant Crew Chief Rip (Reynolds) and the team. They are on their game…really doing a great job of preparing me and giving me a really good car," says Cruz. "It will be interesting to race Thunder Valley at this time of year. We're used to being here in the late spring, but no matter what the weather holds, the Snap-on Dodge doesn’t mind where it is. We've been running well in all temperatures and altitudes, and we plan to do so again this weekend."
Cruz calls Bristol a "cool track" and says it's one of the premier venues on the NHRA circuit with all the bells and whistles of the modern stadium look and feel.
Cruz's car will once again be decked out in the Snap-on Tools Socket to Breast Cancer paint scheme through the Breast Cancer Awareness month of October in support of raising funds for The Pink Fund® in the U.S. and Kelly Shires Foundation in Canada. Both organizations help breast cancer patients in their time of need, including providing valuable support for Cruz’s sister Dora who is a cancer survivor. For more information on these organizations, check out ThePinkFund.org and KellyShiresFoundation.org.
