Courtney poses to help find new sponsors?

Courtney and John made it very clear that all of there sponsors were made aware of this deal and all thought it was a good thing.
I'm suprised that there are still some on here that will not let it go!

Gotta find something to argue about! :D Why else would we be here?

Maybe Ford wasn't in favor of the idea but JFR knew they were on the way out and decided to do it anyway? Who knows what actually transpired.....

I think - on balance - Courtney's decision to do the photo=shoot was a terrific one.

Without treading over "old news" I'd take issue that Traxxas is really marketing to "kids": those RC cars are up there in price.
I'd think they are more going for the "extreme sports" guy / gal who might not be - shall we say - athletic. (C'mon Randy - You're the target Demo:D )

You need to see the photos and video before commenting.

She might care if the "critics" are the folks in the board room.

Marketing toys to kids (radio control stuff) by someone not concerned about being a good role model to kids will likely bite you in the bare a$$ some day.

Force haters and Ford haters do NOT let anything go. No surprise there.

I have not seen the photos but I applaud her, even though I root ardently against her on Sunday. Much like Hofmann or Bazemores excercising of free speech , or even the Pedregons vs. Force ordeal, she made a decision to do something and could careless about the critics.

Enjoy rooting for your 0x or 1x champs (2x if they are lucky). :D Me and many others will continue to root for THE KING and his daughters (And son in law). ;)

It could have had just the opposite effect. When I worked at Ford HQ years ago Ford was a VERY conservative company. They were protective of the family image they projected. MANY companies are concerned about the image they and their representatives project. They want no part of controversy even if it draws attention. Some will follow this post and say it isn't so. Don't believe. Not all companies are like Go Daddy. Some still have conservative values and want no part of their representative posing nude.

Ford is a major supporter of gay and lesbian causes. The American Family Association even started a boycott of Ford and their dealers a few years ago. Conservative??? Really???

That's kinda what I was thinking too.

I was thinking the same thing. What sane person is going to give an RC car that cost 500+ dollars to a 10 year old?

Then again, some parents give their special little snowflakes a 400+ hp sports car on their 16th birthday, so anything is possible....

When I was 10 you couldn't buy a radio controlled car off the shelf. So I saved my money, bought a Cox 049 dune buggy and an OS Digital 2 channel radio control unit and built it myself with a little help from my dad. That was in 1965.

So yea, unless 10 year olds today are brain dead I think they would be part of the target market. Heck, most people I know go out and buy these kind of toys for their 10 year olds just so THEY can play with them!
