Hey Andy,

Thanks for the link.

I just sent an e-mail to Shawn. I've been trying for years to get the guy who "covers" racing for the New Haven paper to come to Englishtown or Maple Grove just to see what it's about. SILENCE

I rely on the Hartford Courant for UCONN Women's Basketball, glad to see that they might cover a Drag Race from time-to-time.

I'm really in shock.

No kidding.

For the last 20 years I've considered the Courant nothing more than good fish wrap or for training puppies.

That was a great read.

I might actually buy a copy for the house tomorrow.

That would be the first in many a moon.

I will admit that I wasn't the biggest fan of his writing back when he first started. But in the last few years, Shawn has really been doing a fantastic job covering auto racing, as I think the Courant has gotten much better about letting racing stories grace their pages. His coverage of our local short track racing and the Whelen Modified Tour are especially good.
