aside from jumping off the couch and yelling, 'she did it!', this what i thought too. try to capitalize on this great
double up, you can be sure RCM and his sponsors will. congrats to maddie, ron, and the gordon family.
as the broadcast was going off the air, maddie grabbed the camera and kissed the lens, and the smile on her face
as she backed away was just priceless. SO AWESOME!! (and E1 started with crew determining in seconds which airline
could be substituted for failed one)

I've been following drag racing all of my life. I'm 70. I've never EVER seen anything like this. The Team Owner wins. The Rookie Top Fuel driver wins, and her dad won in Top Alcohol Funny Car. This beats anything I've ever seen. Congrats to all three winners.

Gordon not only pushes all the right buttons but she brings a top flight resume with her. The Gordons have been a racing family as long as I can remember and she's been right in the middle of every aspect of its operation. I would have loved to have been there to see it; seen the reaction of the team, the fans and seen the aftermath at her pit area. Now Maddi can say she sent the reigning national Champion who has 6 wins so far this year to the house - twice in the first half of her rookie season. No one else can say that. Sent some pretty big dogs to the transporter, too, in her race to the top today.

Today very well could have been a 4-woman winner had the stars been lined up right. Smith, Enders and DeJoria all compete with top-shelf rides. Now, wouldn't have been something.

Yes, it would be great exposure if NHRA publicizes her victory. But based on recent past experience, I doubt they will. It will be up to Capp's PR person to send out press releases, etc about this. We'll see how well Capps does here.

Capps PR team will flood all of the Social media and what ever they have access to as the team he has makes sure that the fans are up to date with what's going on. NHRA, Not so much.

What a fantastic moment. 3 of those fancy Wally's too. Going to be hard to top this season. And this best part about it in my mind? It was wholesome. No controversy required. Good people who work hard and do things the right way came out on top and there didn't have to be a villain. Just cool.
