Haven't seen any post's mention ing his first fuel funky car win. He's built a single car team that's proven it is capable of throwing down with the best out there. Congrats and I'm betting there will be more trips to the winners circle in the future..
Huge win for Paul and his team. What made it even more special was the fact that Sunday was the 18th anniversary of the death of John Medlen's son Eric. Pretty special and emotional win.
I watched Paul's, Johnny Lindberg and John Medlin's interviews on nhra.tv, brought a tear to my eye. I think John Force was also at the starting line for that one too. VERY emotional day for all involved.
Thanks for getting this thread going. I think Paul is definitely due a big congrats - he worked long and hard to get this win. I found this article that gives an idea of his background when he started driving a nitro car in the NHRA https://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=197621&Filter=Year2009 If this article is correct, he is 67 years old! I thought he was younger.
