Congrats to Eric Lourie!

For those who don't know, Eric and his family have a self financed Alky FC in Division 1. Eric went all the way to the finals in Reading only to meet up the Bear himself Frank Manzo falling 5.60 to 5.73! Way to go for the low dollar racers!

Joe you are absolutely correct about Eric, his family, and crew, they are without question all top notch people. I am glad to see Eric doing well this year, especially after his off season battle with cancer. I know he sold his BNR stuff and purchased a couple BAE motors that Bob Tasca was running last season. I believe Ralph Poirier, Tasca's alky crew chief, has been helping Eric and his crew chief Todd Bednaz a bit to sort things out. Once that team gets that BAE combo figured out they will be more dangerous than ever in this part of the country. Congatulations again to the whole team on a stellar weekend and on your first 5.60 run!!! ...... Doug

I remember back in 99-00 when Eric won his first Natl. event at E-Town? Anyway Race day did a feature on him, and his family couldn't afford a race shop so they used the family garage between races!

I forget if Mickey Ferro match raced there in the 90's. Frank Schuster and Dan Roman did as part of Scott Jezak's Hot Rods From Hell in blown alcohol altereds.
