what happened to get him in a fuel car was there was no other car available for him to run (PS or PM) so he decided to try TF. You can only run one pro class per event (PS, PSM, TF, FC) but you can run any other class along with one pro class. Kenny Koretsky was the last driver I know off to run 2 pro classes in an event (TF and PS) but the rule changed sometime after he did that
thanks ken. i thought this might be the case. i do find it unusual that you can run 1 pro class and another not-pro class, that looks and smells like a pro class, but you can't run 2 pro classes,
especially in case of alex laughlin, who has shown he has the ability to bring sponsors into the sport that want exposure via the nhra.

It got added as an actual NHRA class to nationals as opposed to being a pay-to-play third party series that used nationals to hold their events. I believe it's currently right with the Top Alcohol classes in the NHRA hierarchy, but I have no experience with any of those classes to definitely say what the organization and class participants think about that.
Thanks! That makes sense.

People go through struggles. Does she need to improve? Yes. 100%. But all of this piling on is getting ridiculous.
It’s amazing that she can still win the championship with her one win and one major slip up by Capco. Don’t expect it to happen but hey ....

No it’s really not! When your car is consistently faster and you continue to lose it’s a problem.
Team Force better hope another team who has a consistent driver ( reactions in particular ) that they won’t sway Gubby away!
I’m sure Grubnic would like to win a championship as a crew chief! So it’s not so ridiculous! I truly like Brittany and hope she gets it sorted out. I really do!
Hypothetically think of Grubnic’s tuneup with say Leah or Ashley with consistent reaction times! Mike Salinas has really stepped up in reaction times and the rumor mill is Alan Johnson and company are rumored to be heading to Doug K’s team. Salinas has deep pockets. We will have to wait and see but for a faster car to lose a lot you can see the frustration on Grubnic and the crews faces!

TF has gotten really interesting. It used to be that only a couple cars had a good chance to win. Now there are a half dozen who can run together with a mix of et and reaction time. It’s the new pro stock competitively.

It has gotten ridiculous in a sense that she's not the only one struggling. It's only amplified because of how the car performs in qualifying. We can play hypotheticals all over the place. She's not solely to blame either nor is anyone else. She made a nice leap this weekend. Let's see if she can build on it.

I truly hope she does! I like Brittany. Always have.

This season just proves that to win a Championship requires everything to line up. Sponsor $$$, driver, crew chief, car crew, shop crew, quality parts available all season long (or count down long) and possibly a good shrink after those hole shot losses. The driver is the only one the average fan remembers. Those of us that follow closely know it takes more than a monster reaction time average to win the Championship.
Lots of Super Bowl wins by teams with great field goal kickers and lots of Super Bowl wins by teams with an average field goal kicker.
Drag racing really is a team sport.
