There is a good turn out at Vegas Div 7 race in Comp Elim, 14 cars. Top 2 qualifiers are Pro Mods, Mike Bowman at 5.807 and Ed Thornton at 5.848, both around 1 second under the index. Am curious how they will do. Run it to 900 feet & shut off so ya don't kill the index. I love Comp Elim, such a great variety. 6 cyls, 4 bangers, turbos, all that good stuff.

they could do what Garlits did at the Mopars at E-town a while back - he was lined up in Swamp Rat 1 against The Little Red Wagon when Golden broke an axle, so it was a bye.
Garlits left hard and got so crossed up and heading for the pit side wall that he stopped in the middle of the track, wrenched the steering back and idled it to straight, then blasted off to a sub 11 second time...carbs on nitro!
