Commisso Screams to Final’s at Thunder Valley Nationals

Raymond Commisso driver of the R2B2 Motors 67 Camaro Pro Mod had a consistent weekend on the mountain at the O’Reilley Thunder Valley Nationals. The Com-And Racing team made consistent runs to work all the way to the final where they fell victim to tire shake and lost to Joshua Hernandez.

A proud Commisso states, “I’m really happy with our performance here this weekend. Unfortunately Al Billes could not be here this weekend; luckily we had an open phone line to Edmonton all weekend. It goes to show you that this race team is maturing and developing nicely under his wing. I must say that this is the nicest racetrack that I have ever competed at in my career. It’s too bad we could not bring home the bacon”.

Commisso placed his R2B2 Motors / Steelback Beer entry in the field in the #5 spot and marched his way through elimination with runs between6.12 and 6.18 on a 130 degree racetrack. Crew Chief Ralph Andreacchi exclaims,” We have the proper tools in the toolbox, if you know what I mean. The G-Force Race Cars chassis and Al Billes horsepower are a great combination. It’s so tunable, that it makes us all look good. We have been granted an awesome opportunity from R2B2 Motors and Roger Burgess to be able to race the way we need to. Frank, Harry and Sammy also did an awesome job preparing the hot rod all weekend.”

Commisso sits in the 2nd spot in the AMS/Tindle NHRA Pro Mod Series Points chase and is ranked 6th in Pro Car Rx Pro Mod clash.

The Com-And Racing team will next appear at the IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals in Grand Bend, Ontario Canada July 19-22.
