Commerce and Memphis

So did NHRA really sell Atlanta because they had an offer they couldn’t refuse or they needed the money to stay afloat coming out of Covid? I’m guessing they needed the cash which is a legit reason to sell. They had lost the Coca Cola deal and that is their home market. My biggest worry with IHRA would be what would happen if something happens to Darryl? It’s a single man making big changes to the racing landscape, not a company. His money is needed for the organization to survive.

for sure, it was developers with a price they couldn't refuse, due to influx of residents who would
work at the huge south korean car battery plant just down the hwy ...... i can understand the bleachers being sold,
but now you really have to wonder why the tower was torn down? maybe nhra needed the money from the scrap too?
and in the interim while the track has sat empty, why didn't local zoning rewrite laws against the property being a drag strip again?

Unofficial obviously
