ComAnd Racing Tests Pilots to a Win
The ComAnd Racing team of Raymond Commisso and Ralph Andreacchi has been hot this year. With the recent acquiring of Roger Burgess’ R2B2 sponsorship, the team has all the pieces of the puzzle to a Championship contending team.
Guided by veteran driver turned tuner, Al Billes, the team recently participated at the IHRA Mopar Nationals. The event, which originally was
planned to use to shake down the new Tim McAmis built 67 Camaro for a different driver, was taken right to the winner circle. Commisso explained,
“This is a car that Al had purchased after his wreck with his 53 Corvette in
2005. Roger from R2B2 motors then purchased the car to add it to his stable,
and my ComAnd team was summoned to work it out. Fortunately, it went extremely well and we brought home an IHRA Iron Man”.
Commisso placed the flat black ride in the show with a 6.22 @ 231mph, good enough for the 13th spot. He charged through the field with some luck and some good pedaling and laid down a 6.11 @ 233 mph, to collect the win against a tire shaking Mike Janis. Crew Chief Ralph Andreacchi stated, “It
just goes to show you that it’s anyone’s game out here. If you’re in the show, you can win. I’m impressed with all of the guys. It shows a great level of professionalism to accomplish what we did here this weekend”.
The next event for the R2B2/ComAnd racing team will be at US 131 Knoll Gas Motorsports Park Aug 3-5. Log onto comandracing.com for moreinfo.
