I'm very excited to watch this weekend. A great nitro turnout, more diverse than nhra

More diverse = non competitive cars. TF has 5 competitive cars and FC 3. The only way the field fillers can win is if the competitive cars beat themselves. Quantity over quality isn't better. The prior 2 IHRA nitro shows were piss poor in quality and had a ton of downtime. Hopefully they get a better crowd than last time and put on a better show.

Great group of cars. Maybe one day a 16 car field. For me, I’m much more interested in the lower tier teams. I want them all to win. Hope Larry Dixon goes all the way, same for Jasmine. 2nd qualifying session going to be great. 2 seat TF car there also.

I find it odd how the TAD class car counts has dwindled since the first race. I’m sure there is nothing to it but that is one of the healthier NHRA classes.

I don't know if there are guys who are IHRA-specific at this point, but in addition to Indy being last week, there are two NHRA regionals this weekend: Earlville and Virginia. Both of those could pull cars that might otherwise have gone to Columbus in an off-weekend.

Looks like rain overnight Friday-Saturday, clearing by 8-9 Saturday morning.....highs in the mid-60s? Wow. This could be an awesome event with cool temps like that. A lot better weather than in July.

For $20 how can you go wrong? My local track is $15 for a weekly bracket race. The outlaw pro mod show will be worth $20 alone

I believe it’s $40 for Friday and Saturday, $20 for today, unless I missed something. But it’s well worth $40 anytime to see nitro cars

I have not been by but I have been told they are rolling in, their show starts Friday. I am heading towards Columbus shortly and will be passing the track. I will see how many I can see.
It is raining pretty hard right now I would say today is a rain out, knowing the track does not like rain, dries slowly. Only positive might be it has been very dry so it might dry up faster than normal. I think tomorrow is looking better for the daytime.

I’m gonna work half the day tomorrow and then head up, the weather forecast has changed every day for the past week. At one point it was gonna only be 70 for the high for Friday, now it’s looking like 83. I was liking the 70 a whole lot better, but it’s still gonna be way better than it was in July

So I stopped on the way back, drove up to the entry and asked the young lady if I can go in and get some pics, she said sure. Cory Mac was pulling in in front of me, Shawn Reed showed up while I was there. Larry Dixon is there with his two cars.
Talking to one guy he said Salinas was right down the road, couldn't get an actual count but there are a lot of haulers there. Weather is looking good for tomorrow I plan on heading over at 11 Am nitro starts at 130. This is the boat that went 242.
