I guess I'm trying to figure out what the ADRL arm drop starting format has to do with safety when a human being is standing far enough out in front of insanely powerful door slammers to be killed.

How is that a safety related decision?

To me it's a savy promoter making a call to entertain the fans and salvage an otherwise lost race. Good on Kenny for doing it and pulling it off, but if someone get's their ass run over, he's in for it.

MIR's got an area at the track built for a flagman. They run PINKS there a lot, but it will be interesting to see how this works.
