It's on Comp Plus but I'm listening to live streaming on Outlaw Racing 39x and they say he's OK !
They say the Park is near full and cars still lined up as far as you can see !

Mike Carpenter confirmed this morning that his father, Pro Nitrous racer Charles Carpenter, suffered a fractured vertabrae in his Saturday evening accident during the ADRL Safety-Kleen Dragpalooza V at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas.

Which is why I wouldn't let Forest Lipke get out of his car at Immokalee after he crashed. Boy he didn't like me for that. But hes ok

Holy Mackerel! The rim separated from either the impact or from the angle the wall was pushing on the tire/wheel!

Jay, the ADRL only runs 1/8th mile. Even when its on a quarter mile track.

As for Charles, I hope he heals up good. It was a scary crash for sure. It happened right in front of me and for a minute I thought he was going to come visit us but luckily he made it back down onto the track. Also, the wheel that broke off when flying down the return road, hit the end of the ditch, and shot up into the air and also luckily landed back onto the track instead of the fans. Everyone was lucky all the way around.

Friday night, we lost another car. Doug Reister (I dont remember how to spell his last name) crashed really bad. Was in the right lane, came off the line and the car made a hard right and he hit the wall and then shot across and hit the left wall head on. Big hit. Luckily as far as I know he is ok. Worse part is both of these guys arent big sponsored teams or anything. Hell Doug built his car himself.

Also, I'd like to send a huge Thank You to Team Al Anabi and Speedtech Nitrous who donated $10,000 to Doug in order to help him rebuild.
