<P> July 7, 2008 -Lyman SC- Scott Cannon Jr. exited this weekend’s IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals in the second round. “The car left with extreme tire shake and headed toward the wall. I started to pedal the car and it knocked the shifter out of high gear into neutral” said Cannon Jr.” Needless to say the weekend was cut short for the second generation driver.
Pro Modified pioneer Scotty Cannon is happy with the new alliance involving Thomas Patterson. “Thomas did a great job this weekend. He sure can drive a Pro Mod. We are still getting used to working together but so far we are thrilled to be out here. It sure makes the 2200 mile ride home easier with at least one car in the final. Our goal for the remainder of the season is just to take it round by round and see where we end up. I thought a month or so ago we wouldn’t even be racing the rest of the season so to have helped get Thomas in the final this early works for me” said Scotty Cannon. Thomas Patterson was just shy of the win this weekend with a runner up finish.
The next event for the two car team will be the IHRA Mopar Nationals in Grand Bend, Ontario Canada.
