Never been there but know it used to hold national events. How much would need to be done to bring the facility to current standards for a national event?
The tracks that used to host the Cajun Nationals, one is IHRA and the other closed many years ago. The NHRA track in cajun country is No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, Louisiana. The track itself could hold fuel cars because it has a long shutdown. The problems I think they would need to work on is seating and getting in and out of the track. The track manager is working to get a National event since the one in Houston no longer exist and have done a great job on getting the track surface ready. They had a No Prep Kings race there 3 years ago and had to get temporary stand and that still was not enough. Also took a hour to get to the track from 2 miles away and another hour in the ticket line. I would love to see it get one since I am only 45 minutes away. Also it is probably one of the best attended divisional event in D4. Oh and needs to add parking.
