If the Red Sox suck, and they won the ALDS, and the World Series 2 of the last 4 years, then by your own standards the Yankees must REALLY REALLY suck??
(although I hear their golf game is improving by the minute)

oh brother, here we go with a rah rah red sox fan, do i have to remind you of the 86 years between victories, or the 39 penants the yankees have or the 26 champioships the yankees have ?? do i? do i? you know what they say dont you? that pesky 27th world series title is always the hardest to get . the red sox have a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go for that.

I don't dispute anything you've said, the Yankees have done very well for a very long time, and they earned every one of those titles. But to say that the number 3 or 4 team in the world sucks when your guys have been playing golf......

"IT" is also a "Fact" that many players, once they reach a certain level of "FAME", (ie make it to the series and become household names) the player agents find ways to "Restructure" deals. Sorry but the days of Cal Jr, Tony Gwynn, and others who have taken less money to stay with their small market teams for life are OVER! Who thought Wade Boggs, and Johnny Damon would ever be Yankee's...(sorry Chris). Those guys were RED SOX to the CORE!!! Why did they leave? $$$$$'s!!! Sorry, but the Rays will not be able to afford these guys for the next 4 years, and many of them WILL be traded. Heck your teams #1 Fan Dickie V said it himself this morning on Mike and Mike..."We don't know how long this will last baby so were gonna enjoy this ride all the way baby!!!"

Enjoy the ride this year Mitch... But don't be Myopic to think that "IT" won't happen to your team because of stupid things like CONTRACTS are LOCKED. That dog just won't hunt!
