Top Alcohol Funny Car Legend Bunny Burkett has once gone above the call of duty.
On Sunday the 8th of November 2009 Bunny and the Boys made a 5 hour trip to Atco NJ.to give someone there last wish.
Arlene Baylock a long time FAN of Bunny and the Boys recently lost her battle to Breast Cancer. Bunny being a Breast Cancer Survivor- fulfilled Arlene's dying wish. After Bunny had made her quickest run of the year and at the Stripe when Bunny deployed her famous Pink Parachutes out came Arlene in a BIG CLOUD of Smoke. Bunny scattered some of Arlene's Ashes across the Finish Line in Atco Raceway. The remainder of the Ashes were spread on the Starting Line and on the Return Road!!!
Atco Raceway showed kindness and respect to the family members, as they actually stopped racing their busy schedule to allow Bunny & The Boys all the time they needed to perform their special mission.
It will go into the history books as a "first" in Bunny's 45 year career and an awesome celebration of life to many others that will not be forgotten! Never underestimate the special bond between a long time fan and a driver that never forgets where she came from.
