the new owners of Budweiser figured out they need the north american motorsports area for promotion more then they thought... sooo they are slowly stepping back into some motorsports arenas... for what it cost to sponsor a Indy car for a year.. most figure if the team makes the Indy 500 and does decent its worth the money.. kind of like the ones that buy ads during the Super Bowl.. they know enough people are watching to make it worth while..
"After a hiatus of more than a dozen years, Budweiser is rumored to be back in the series as an associate sponsor for Graham Rahal's Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing entry at this year's Indianapolis 500."
Right now it's only an associate sponsorship at the INDY 500. It would be nice to have Miller and Bud back at both INDY and NHRA but since both are owned by foreign entities, I wouldn't expect it to happen any time soon.
WHY ?? It was Kenny Bernstein that went after Budweiser in the first place !!
He took his rig & racecar to the Budweiser Headquarters and made his case!!!
Has NHRA ever gone looking for a sponsor to find sponsorship for a racer ?? Or have they sat on the side lines and tried to get sponsor $$$$ for NHRA ?
NHRA is concerned with their own pocketbooks only !!

That's why i said Yuengling. It's American and GOOD Beer!
But it is only available in 14 states, none west of the Mississippi River. Not enough market to justify a national campaign.

I believe the race car was painted with Budweiser on it to show them how the car would. No lack of confidence there.
No, he may have had renderings, but it was definitely the Chelsea King car, which was one of the most gorgeous cars ever back in the day, with a matching semi, back when everyone else still used tow alongs.I believe the race car was painted with Budweiser on it to show them how the car would.
