Topeka, Ks -- The A/Fuel Sooner One Dragster Team of Oklahoma native Brandon Pierce is heading to the O'Reilly Summer Nationals in Topeka, Kansas this weekend looking to gain valuable points and their first National Event win of the 2007 racing season.
The Sooner One Racing Team goes into this weekend in fourth place within the 2007 NHRA POWERAde National Points where less than one hundred points separates the top five competitors within the Top Alcohol Dragster Class.
"There's a good solid field this weekend with some great cars and teams in Alcohol Dragster" states Pierce "we're running stronger than ever with a much improved fuel and clutch system that we implemented towards the last part of the 2006 season. We have significant data now and with a little bit of luck and the right combination, we're hoping to be in the Winner's circle celebrating on Sunday at the end of this race weekend".
The Team has already celebrated this year with a Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Divisional Event Win in Great Bend, Kansas along with two additional final round appearance.
As soon as the O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals are completed, the Sooner One A/Fuel Team will be heading to Chicago for the Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 Nationals to compete and additionally represent the South Central Division 4 Jeg Allstars in Competition.
