Just like a slot machine that keeps coming up with 2 of the same.... keep your eye on the Strivectin-SD Top Fuel team!

The car has been running almost flawlessy since qualifying in back St. Louis. (I don't have the numbers with me, but) I believe they've laid down like 18 passes in a row now without significant tire spin or mechanical failure.
And keep in mind the huge difference in running conditions at all theose tracks. Great job by Jon-O & his posse.
These guys just HAVE to win one soon..... maybe Sonoma?????

Did you watch the race last sunday, shoe walked over everybody without any real struggles. I think you are a Kalitta cheerleader-fanatic that can't see the light through the trees. I really like Grubnic to, but you make it sound like they came up with a magical tune up since St. Louis. This is a what have you done for me lately sport.

P.S. I will root for whoever races against Shoe. Hopefully Grubnic will cash in at Sonoma. You just always makes it sound like the K-cars are the baddest cars on the track, It gets old.

Chris,
I hate to repeat myself but as I stated in your thread "Most Consistent Kalitta Car", Grubnic did get shut off at Denver. I know you were there, I know you saw it, you just gotta believe it, it happened.

Walked being the operative word this pass:
(W) Tony Schumacher (U.S. Army Dragster) 0.104 6.258 279.09
(L) J.R. Todd (Skull Shine Dragster) 0.044 15.176 41.50

I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down Bobby & I'm not sure I would've stated it quite this way: "Did you watch the race last sunday, shoe walked over everybody without any real struggles," but I will say that a lot of wins do come with the one lucky round caveat... Your point is well taken though.

Considering that he beat him by 9.502 seconds, I would say that is walked on. Sorry that you don't agree me on my post. I will try to be more like you in the future, Or should I just leave all together.

Ryan, did you really think that was posted in an effort to degrade or correct you? For the record, it was simply an observation that Shoe/AJ weren't flawless either on Sunday.
As for being like me, why would you want that? Leave altogether? Really?
I'll learn from this that you can't take a joke and avoid responding to your posts for fear you will further over-react.
I had no problem with your post whatsoever-only happened to notice that even the team you refered to had their troubles in the heat.
Geesh!

Gordon, thanks for your post. For a moment there I thought I turned bad?

Gee willikers, I didn't mean to create a tizzy. And I CERTAINLY didn't mean to compare David G. to any other driver. I was just stating an interesting fact about how well the car has been hooking up & getting through the lights since Madison and I haven't heard it talked about too much on TV or otherwise..... NOT including of course the Saturday night little hose-end fitting ordeal in Colorado. THAT'S ALL. By the way you're 100% right - I am the cheerleader. Always have been, always willl be!
we're all good here

I'm still wondering if Connie will make Dave take a dive late in the year if the Points become very tight come Vegas/Pomona? Or will the Strivectin folks demand otherwise?

The way Shoes running lately, there might not be any diving issues to worry about over at Team Kalitta. But, I sure hope Doug can keep it close and have a chance for that first title by the time Pomona rolls around.

The Kalittas Tuned soft early and thats how they got it down with-out smoking/dropping holes, and now the field comes up to par.

There was not alot of parity in the early season, it has taken some/alot of the teams a good bit of time to adjust to what the set up ( tire/rev limiter etc) was issued.
DONT take me wrong, the Kalitta camp is one of the tougher competitors out there, Doug & David can be deadly Quick,I think Connie **Not down playing Jim O's input, played it conservative & came out really good but safe, they had tried and masterd the limit of the tire early and had a bit of the limiter to contend with. ( I would actually like someone from the K Camp to come on, or any of the Pro's and actually explain some of the limiter conditions that they saw, and explain the actual Big Dawg problems it presented for their particular tune, and what they attempted to do to calm the beast to stay within the limits.)
I just think the second half is either going to jockey between camps/ crews or get blown out by one team.
I would have said that Hogan had the magic at the beginning of the season, but now, the hard riding tuners are coming to the barr & putting it on hard.
Alan is coming up with the #s as is Lee Beard, Donnie taking over the controls after Dick LaHaie retired, there are several of the teams that are really close to taking it any weekend. ( I like the Lee Beard tuned /HRF team dropping some top contenders, this is what it's really all about) * The Independant spoilers messing up the points! Tim & Kim are keeping very quiet this year.
I am personally glad that the TORCO/Todd team is bringing it on early. This will be one dangerous team in the very near future. If they finish this year with a win of one or two races, the Bernstein/Shoe/Kaliita camp had better get ready for bear!

Now I am partial, I like it when our team has a two fer/ three fer weekend, and am waiting to take the Day Off when we have a four fer!
BUT, The teams..../ALL the TEAMS/ ALL The Tuners/ALL Drivers and ALL Crews that are what is driving up all of these consistently " TF/FC/PS/PSB Fastest Fields" they are ALL the real hero's, week in Week out!
