I have been loaned a huge quilt that was created by the ladies of the Indianapolis 500 "Old Timers" club for famed crew chief Clint Brawner. It was signed by hundreds of legends. While taking photos of the individual panels, it was no surprise to find Paul Page's signature next Tom Carnagie's (500 PA announcer since 1946).
However . . . on another panel was a signature of "Bob Frey"!
This is a huge piece of Indy 500 history - I'd really like to know if this our Bob's signature and if so, how he came to sign it! Have a photo ready to send to him - does anyone have his email address?
