I had heard news that Bob Brooks had passed away. This was word of mouth. I don't recall seeing any announcement about it. If so, it's been a couple of rough years for AFT - first Steve, then Bob. If there is any truth to this, I wonder what the state of AFT is. Perhaps they had an apprentice who will take over?

Bob passed away several months ago. I believe it was in August.

That is what I was told, it was several months ago. I just didn't see anything on the various drag racing news sites I "subscribe" to

It was on Comp Plus, DRO, and Phil Burgess wrote a column memorializing him and John Farkonas together.

Well, I was asleep when this happened. My condolences to the Brooks family.

Early in the year, he was named an honoree at the CHRR. He passed before the event and was honored posthumously there.
