Billy Torrence

Two of the best races of the weekend had Billy Torrence in common. First his pedalfest with Doug Kalitta......Both completely out of shape, on and off the throttle, but showed everyone else how it's done by neither clicking it nor crossing any boundaries. Wasn't pretty, but it was a win and entertaining to boot. Then his close run against Steve with nearly identical ET & MPH. Great racing!

I had a nice chat with Billy after the race. He hopes to race a few more times this year. He mentioned people saying they thought he would lay down for Steve in the semis and said that would never happen. The 3.722 to 3.726 decision surely silenced any critics.

It was a good weekend for both Torrence teams.......other than us launching Billy's injector to Tucson
