Big time tuner switching shirts???

OK guys. Me using caps was an oversite. I had been doing other things and my caps lock was on and I didn't turn it off.
My reference to posting #154, which I know was a tongue-in-cheek blog, was done with the same idea in mind. Obviously no one picked that up. I guess I need to bring it down a notch so some people can tell if I am joking or real.
I am not new to racing. Have been a dragster owner/partner (T/F, F/C, Jr/Fuel, S/C) since 1959 and have quite a bit of inside knowledge due to relationships with people who have been at it as long or longer than I have and could tell you right now what changes (if any) are going to happen both now and in the near future but that would not help my relations with the contacts I have.:D

Any news from DSR today?

I have talked with people there in the last few days but am not at liberty to say anything about what is or is not happening at DSR. They, like most of the teams will inform folks when and if they want to.
Also, I am happy that I was able to give some of you something to laugh at and your sarcasm on whether or not I was smart enough to get is not appreciated and I have to question YOUR IQ (yes that was caps).
Have a wonderful day.:)

In other words, tune in on saturday night & see for yourself.

DON SCHUMACHER RACING
2010 NHRA FULL THROTTLE DRAG RACING SERIES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TUNER JOHN MEDLEN JOINS DON SCHUMACHER RACING

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (March 13, 2010)
- Effective immediately, John Medlen, formerly of John Force Racing, has joined Don Schumacher Racing, and will be co-crew chief, with Tommy DeLago, on the DieHard Dodge Charger Funny Car driven by Matt Hagan in the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.

A former race-car and race-boat driver, Medlen is best known as a designer, fabricator and tuner. In the mid-1980s, he designed and built clutch systems and later developed one of the first multi-lever clutch systems and a fuel volume control device. As a crew chief, he claimed the 2003 Funny Car crown with Tony Pedregon, and has scored 42 NHRA national-event victories in both Top Fuel and Funny Car, winning six times in three full seasons with his late son Eric.

"John brings a tremendous depth of experience and knowledge to DSR in many areas of Funny Car competition and development," said team owner Don Schumacher, "and we're privileged to have him on board. We're confident that his contribution to the team and Tommy DeLago's ability to tune a very fast race car will be very beneficial to the performance of the DieHard Dodge Funny Car."

"It's a grand opportunity for me to join DSR," said Medlen. "Don Schumacher is an aggressive marketer. I've always admired the job he's done at running his teams and conducting the business of drag racing in a professional and business-like manner. And, in a very difficult economy, his operation continues to grow.

"The DieHard Dodge Funny Car team is a very successful and well-managed team, and Tommy and I are both looking forward to working together. We both feel that two heads are better than one, and maybe some of the past experience I've had will fit in with the program."

The next event of the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series is this weekend's 41st annual NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway, March 12-14.

I hate seeing John M leave JF Racing, they have a long history together and they have been through some terrible times together with Eric's death.
I doubt if a day goes by that John M doesn't think of Eric. Maybe by going to another team - even if I don't like them - will make his life better.
Best of luck John, I hope this works for you and you are successful with your new team.:)
