Bernie "Bird" Partridge

I just received word that Bernie "Bird" Partridge, retired NHRA Division 7 Director/Pioneer and "Voice of the National Hot Rod Association" passed away earlier today. I extend my sincerest condolences to his wife, PJ and the entire Partridge family.

Wow, sorry to hear about both Bernie and John.

As a teen, I was in car club that I remember John being also a member of. We would sometimes have our club meetings or just hang out at the Partridge's garage, they were always great hosts.

The club became affiliated with NHRA thru Bernie and got involved with some of their events, working at the Winternationals comes to mind.

Wow...I just met Bernie's Nephew who happens to live here in ABQ! Sad deal....didn't Bernie Suffer a stroke some time back?

A sad day for NHRA fans. I still miss him on the PA at national events, he was so smooth on announcing the race. RIP.
