Bar's Leaks/Rislone Jr. Drag Racer Spotlight: Jamie & Casey Ladd
Championship winning team looks for more of the same in '07

WELCHES, Ore. - With a mix of racing disciplines, the Bar's Leaks/Rislone sponsored Jr. Drag Racing duo of brother/sister Casey and Jamie Ladd has proved a force to be reckoned with in the Northwest. The team plans to compete for the Lightning and Fast class championships at Woodburn Dragstrip, along with stops at Madras Dragstrip and Portland International Raceway. In addition to local series, the team plans to attend the Western Conference Finals in Denver, along with National Dragster Challenge meets in the Northwest.

Jamie, 14, driver of the Rislone Engine Treatment sponsored dragster is a four-time track champion at Madras Dragstrip (2001-2004). She is currently a student at Welches Middle School in Welches, Ore. She plays the clarinet and flute in the schools band and will compete on the high school ski and golf team next year. She currently boasts a 3.0 GPA.

He finished third in points at Woodburn his first season and fifth last year. He has also won a National Dragster Challenge, earning a coveted "Wally" trophy in the process. He also attends Welches Middle School and plays clarinet in the band. Like his sister, he maintains a 3.0 GPA as well.

"I like racing Jr. Dragsters for several reasons," said Jamie. "I enjoy the competition, friendships, rivalries and of course, winning. I hope to be able to take over my Grandpa's Super Gas car when I get my driver's license. I also look forward to having a long relationship with Rislone and Bar's Leaks."

"Racing Jr. Dragsters is really fun because I can hang out and race with my friends," added Casey. "I hope one day I can race Top Fuel with Bar's Leaks as my sponsor."

Clay Parks, V.P. of Marketing & Development for Bar's Leaks and Rislone, is excited about having the Ladd family on board this season.

"Jamie and Casey are really great racers on the track and good kids off the track," stated Parks. "They provide a good example of what to do on and off the track and we're honored to be a part of their growing racing careers."
