August 16, 2006 (Memphis, TN) -- Barklage Racing has enjoyed a winning summer and hopes to continue their success in the upcoming NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park.
The team just came off of a very productive weekend at the Super Chevy Show in Jolliet, Illinois. Zach Barklage took the No. 1 qualifying position and Cody Barklage started from the No. 3 position. The young brothers both advanced to the final round of competition. Zach Barklage took the win light with a 6.15, 228.23 MPH over Cody's 6.30, 214.45 MPH.
With a fresh win the team now moves on to the AMS Pro Mod Challenge during the NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals. "I'm ready to be back in NHRA competition," commented Cody Barklage. "I feel good, the car is running great, and I'm confident we will do well with our Lucas Oil, Jason's Deli, GTO. My dad and Dave seem to have a good handle on the cars, so I'm just hoping for the best."

Although I took off most of the year in the AMS series, I think we will do fine. We have lined-out the car, and we will just step-it-up this weekend and see what it will do."
The team also has announced the formation of a business venture. LakeRaceProducts.com, is now up for business. The new company owned by Mark Barklage sells Pit Mat USA, Master Formula, Lucas Oil and Torco Race Fuel throughout the Lake Ozark area."We are excited to be able to bring the best racing products to the lake area," said Mark Barklage.
