Thanks Jackee she is the real deal and I for one am glad the ladies are doing so well in man dominated sports like auto racing.
We really at this time need the good ink and the support of the women who are over 50 percent of the population.

Hey the ladies are carrying the water in the military so I say right on , go for it.

Wow, this is huge. The Wall Street Journal reaches more potential sponsors than all other possible outlets. Now, when the teams approach companies for sponsorship opportunities, the VP of Marketing (even the CEO) on the other side of the table can say "yeah, I read that interview with Ashley Force". Helps immeasurably.

And she is such an impressive ambassador for the sport (arguably even better than her father). She's well-spoken, modest, charming, confident...

This is a really big deal. I hope this is part of the work the new PR company is doing, because this is exactly the kind of thing that will bring more sponsors into the sport.

New Glendora Board of Directors (in a perfect world):

JFR- VP in charge of PR
DSR- VP in charge of Fuel Standards and Distribution
Bill Miller/Jim Head- VPs in charge of Engineering and Design Concepts
Jeg Coughlin, Sr.- Director of Competition
Mike Dunn/ Alan Reinhart- VPs of NHRA Broadcast Division

;)

(This could be fun!!! Good job, Ashley and the PR machine over there- great article FOR THE SPORT)

Danica and Ashley don't belong in the same sentence.
She's so sweet and genuine - I still think folks (even women) love "the girl next door".
She has the potential to be bigger than John.

Great article!

This is HUGE, absolutely HUGE!! Every team that is lacking in sufficient sponsorship should have a copy of this article in their marketing package. You can't buy this kind of ink!

I agree Jim. A local radio station in Minneapolis had Danica Patrick on their morning show a few months back and all I could think after the interview was "Holy crap, there's somebody completely stuck on themself". Maybe she was having a bad day but wow, she did not impress. The radio show hosts just ripped her afterwards. On the other hand, I've always thought Ashley has conducted herself very well and with a considerable amount of class during her public moments.

It's refreshing to read that. How do you not like Ashley?

Same with Melanie/Hillary..the honesty & integrity just shine.

No acting like something that they aren't.

I see that in Angelle, too. We are lucky.

I didn't want my comment to be seen as "bashing". I used to really like (or, at least, root for) Danica. However, her HYPE has become tiresome. I'm not sure her winning in Japan has mellowed her a bit.

Meantime, I'll take ALL the NHRA women at the professional level. Not a bad one in the bunch!

(Although Mika Duno is a pretty snappy number, I can't get too excited about her because of her association with Hugo Chavez <the Venezuelan dictator> - besides she hasn't shown herself to be a great driver.)
